At Bellator 273's main event, current heavyweight champion and former light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader confronted interim champion Valentin Moldavsky in a battle for integration. This is Birder's first heavyweight battle since playing against Czech Congo in 2019.
The joint main event was a light battle between former UFC champion Benson Henderson and emerging candidate Islam Mamedov.
