In an ongoing hearing of the Competition Appeal Tribunal in London, Facebook has raised billions of pounds by imposing unfair conditions on customers to give up valuable personal data in order to access the network.

"Facebook has become the only social network in the UK in the 17 years since it was created, ensuring that we can connect with friends and family in one place," said Lovedahl Gornsen.
"Nevertheless, there was a dark side to Facebook. Facebook has abused its market advantage to impose unfair conditions on the general British public and to empower the misuse of personal data."
Lovdahl Gormsen argues that Facebook can collect data across platforms through processes like Facebook Pixel, create a "big picture" of Internet usage, and create valuable detailed data profiles for users.
Opt-out class actions such as Lovdahl Gormsen automatically bind the defined group into actions, unless the individual opt-out.
